Rooted in Worship

We all are born with the gift of Worship, it's the 'how' we worship that is unique. But we are all called to do it."

Some worship by singing, dancing, drawing, playing an instrument, painting, woodworking, writing, and so much more.

Some worship with their hands, while others worship with their feet.

Some worship with their words, while others worship with their thoughts.

Some worship loudly in silence.

Some in public, some in private.

Some while washing the sheets, some while wishing they had sheets to wash.

Some as they walk down the street, and others seated in a hospital room.

Some worship down on their knees in adoration, or some jump for joy because of their newfound Salvation in their Savior Jesus.

Some worship as tears of pain roll down their face, and others with tears of joy that kiss their cheeks.

Some worship while they pray for provision, and others worship because of the provision from God.

Some worship while they wait, and others worship knowing their fate awaits them in Heaven.

Some worship in the mud and floods, and others worship on dry and weary land.

Some worship as they change a diaper, and others worship awaiting a positive pregnancy test.

Some worship as they workout, some worship while they work.

Some worship while they run, and some worship as they push the wheels on their wheelchair.

Some worship in the valleys, and some worship on the mountain top.

Some worship in the lion's den, and some worship in the belly of the whale.

Some worship at the foot of the cross, and some worship at the entrance of the empty tomb.

Some worship as they worry, some as they trust.

Some worship in praise.

Some worship in pain.

Some worship in the storm.

Some worship in the peace.

Some worship while walking on water, and some worship as they reach for their Savior's hand.

Regardless of how we worship, we are all called to worship our Lord and Savior.

Hebrews 12:28

No matter the circumstances in life we go through, we are called to worship a Good God because even the rough times in life have purpose. God uses our brokenness and our pain for our good and for God's glory.

NOTHING we go through is ever wasted.

No tear is ever wasted and unseen.

He is always near and dear to those who earnestly seek Him.

He has promised to never leave us.

^ His Word says so.

Go... look for yourself!

He has also never promised us a life free of pain or one filled with ease.

Quit contrary to scripture, which says that it is the inherent word of God!

But God is still GOOD, no matter what.

We are called to praise and worship God and be rooted in the Word of God. Doing so is beneficial and provides a strong foundation so that when life's challenges come knocking on our door, we will not be destroyed.

There is one out to destroy you, while there is one out to create life in us that will sustain us for all eternity.

Be so rooted in worship that worry and the one who is meant to destroy you won't have a chance.

Allow worship to be rooted in you.

Make room for worship in your life!

Note to self: Who and what you worship is who you learn to conform to and become.

Prayer:

Lord, I pray that you hear my heart, and it sings songs of praise and worship to you. Lord, I know that no matter what life tries to throw my way, you will be right there to catch me if it knocks me down. Lord, I want a heart that wants to worship you alone, but I am human, and my idols can hinder my worship. Forgive me, Lord, for when things come between you and me, lead me on a path that leads to you. Purify my heart, and allow me to worship you with abandon. Create a heart that is rooted in worship, Lord.

Thank you, Lord, for the finished work on the cross that allows me to freely worship you.

In Jesus' Holy and precious name, I pray, Amen.
