What an empowering verse! It gives me the confidence that I can conquer the world because of my faith in God. Walking with this confidence, even when the world wants to tear me to shreds. To know I am unstoppable, untouchable, and indestructible with God by my side.
But as I wipe the sleep out of my eyes, reality hits me like a ton of bricks as I wake up from this dream. I hear the suasiveness of the voices screaming in my mind, one humiliating distortion of truth thrown at me, ripping any confidence away from me one demeaning dart at a time. Instead of walking in the truth and grace of God, I shamefully walk with the lies the enemy throws at me.
Studying this verse, I can't help but meditate on this profound and intimate question: Who can be against me? The first answer my soul exposes in my unconfident mind is me. I'm the problem, and I am the one against me. Because I choose to believe the lies that spew from the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy.
The lies that cloud the reality of how God sees me and His truth. I ignore the truth that God is trying to pour into my heart that tends to get mudded in lies. By believing the enemy's lies, I am my own worst enemy, and I sell myself short. I allow him to attack me repeatedly by accepting his tactics.
Can you relate? If you said yes, it's time to turn our heart's deepest desires into reality and walk confidently in our faith based on the Truth of God’s Word. Don't let your self-perception hinder you from reaching your potential. Let go of the stubbornness, allow God's Truth to pour into your heart, and let it drown the lies. When we open our hearts to God and allow Him to soften and mold us, we can see ourselves through His eyes and bask in His radiating love. So, let's take that step of faith and trust in God's truth about us.
If we fully surrender to God's truth and allow Him to free our minds from the lies that hold us back, we can confidently declare that no one can stand against us, just like God's Word tells us. We can become unstoppable if we genuinely comprehend and accept what God wants to do for and through us.
This verse holds a profound promise that we can walk in confidence and not condemnation, that God loves us and works on our behalf for His Good. This verse encourages us to wake up and live by the truth found in God's Word while rejecting the lies from the enemy. Doing so allows us to confidently walk alongside Jesus Christ with each step in our faith walk.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for being such a patient and graceful Father to me. One that wants to fill my heart with the truth that you are for me. Lord, I humbly ask for your guidance and strength to help me resist the enemy's lies and tactics. I pray for the courage to believe your truth and that you open my heart to all the good you say about me. May I learn to walk in the confident hope that you are indeed for me.
In the Holy and Precious name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
